Oklahoma Statewide Women in Agriculture & Small Business Conference
Keynote speakers for this year’s Women in Agriculture & Small Business Conference will be:
- Dr. Pamela Ronald, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology and the Genome Center at the University of California, Davis. Ronald serves as founding director of the Institute for Food and Agricultural Literacy at UC Davis and director of Grass Genetics at the Joint Bioenergy Institute in Emeryville. She is the co-author of Tomorrow’s Table: Organic Farming, Genetics, and the Future of Food.
- Lauren Nelson, Miss American 2007. Nelson is the co-host of “Discover Oklahoma” and serves as spokesperson for Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
The conference offers networking opportunities, as well as concurrent breakout sessions offered from several tracks – agricultural, alternative enterprises, business and finance, and beginning farmer.
The conference also features an exhibit hall, vendors, and a mini-mall showcasing Oklahoma businesses and products, as well as two post-conference workshops: “Hands-on Quicken workshop” or “Beef Quality Assurance Program.”
