Simon Billy is currently the Ranch Operations Foreman and Safety Officer for the Kerr Center. Simon started to work for the center in 1989 as a research technician. He has worked in many areas of the Center, including operating an organic horticulture farm for thirteen years which included a greenhouse, cold frame, two acres of vegetables, blueberries, blackberries, shiitake mushrooms, Christmas trees, and sorghum production.

Simon has an associate’s degree as a forest technician and in Parks and Nursery Management from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, OK. In high school he competed in the State, Tri-State, and National Forestry Contests. Simon is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Services.

Simon lives on the Kerr ranch with his wife, Debbie, and is the proud father of three children and seven grandchildren. He is a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Wister, where he serves and leads a Promise Keepers class.
