Entomologist and author Doug Tallamy returns to Oklahoma in August for a series of talks on his award-winning nature books, including Nature’s Best Hope: A New Approach to Conservation That Starts in Your Yard.
A hero to native plant enthusiasts, Tallamy is professor and chair of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware. His book Bringing Nature Home: How You Can Sustain Wildlife with Native Plants won the Silver Medal from the Garden Writer’s Association and is credited with changing how many gardeners view their landscape and plant choices. Nature’s Best Hope shows how homeowners can become conservationists by creating wildlife corridors. He recently authored The Nature of Oaks, which examines the rich web of life dependent on oak trees.
