Monarch Essentials is a series of comprehensive online courses that cover various topics in monarch conservation including monarch biology, migration, threats, plant and insect ecology, research and conservation, community science opportunities, and how to establish pollinator habitat.
Abridged Monarch Essentials is a 3-week version of the 7-week program offers the quick facts of monarch conservation and preservation. All topics from the complete course are covered but in an abridged model that may be best for those with limited time.
Both Monarch Essentials courses are taught by experienced Monarh Joint Venture facilitators who have a deep passion for monarchs and conservation.
All sessions are on Wednesday evenings (dates below), are 90 minutes long, and begin at 6:30 PM (CST)
Week 1 – January 12: Life Cycle, Migration and Overwintering
Week 2 – January 19: Population Dynamics and Threats
Week 3 – January 26: Conservation Action!
