Small Vegetable Production Systems Field Day

Join OSU Extension for this field day on practical approaches to vegetable production in Oklahoma at the OSU Student Farm. The field day will include Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) management practices, including on-going variety trial and cover crop research in a CNG-managed production area. CNG follows similar practices to the National Organic Program while providing a more accessible alternative for small, diversified growers and continues to gain consumer recognition. Additional topics will include research on extending tomato production in conventional management using heat tolerant tomato varieties and strategic planting dates, soil fertility and amendment considerations, and resources available for new and beginning vegetable growers.
