Heirloom Variety Trial Report 2008: Sweet Sorghum

The Kerr Center began growing sweet sorghum and making sorghum syrup in 1986. In 2008 we planted a selection of heirloom sorghum varieties to see how well they might do. Unfortunately, a tropical depression flattened most of the plants the first week of September, effectively ending the trial. Still, this report contains some early observations that other growers might find useful.
