This document discusses interesting observations we made in our 2010 heirloom tomato variety trial. It was a challenging year! Blistering summer temperatures dominated; they routinely soared above 100°F. Insect pest problems followed in the wake of the heat. Blister beetles, in particular, reached biblical plague proportions.
