A wave of storms last Saturday night knocked out power to the Kerr Center headquarters, with electricity only restored as of around noon on Monday. Area residents, including staff, suffered similar outages.
Thankfully, no one was injured, but the high winds did knock down one large tree near the office. Fortunately, the tree fell away from the office building, only damaging a fence.
