Tom Zink graduated from Moore High School in 2007, and went into the Army as a Cav Scout from 2009-2013, with a deployment to Afghanistan. He began backyard gardening in 2013-2015, which led to market farming of many different crops, but specializing in year-round microgreens, lettuce, and baby root crops from 2016-2022, selling at the farmers market and various restaurants in the Fort Smith, Arkansas, area. In 2023, he began homesteading, later joining the team at the Kerr Center as a Horticulturalist.
